Shouldn't I be happy about going to Hawaii in a few days?  Yes, naturally I would be, but I am not so happy right now.  I've heard the verdict for George Zimmerman - Not Guilty.  Not Guilty for taking the life of an innocent, unarmed,17 year old boy who was only walking home from the 711 with a bag of Skittles and an Arizona Ice Tea in his hands?  Not Guilty?  This boy was gunned down by Zimmerman, who profiled him for being black, wearing a hoody, and walking in the rain.  Not Guilty?  How can that be?  I am appalled and at lost for words.  How can this system acquit someone who killed a child?  A child who was doing nothing wrong but walking home from the store.  I can't believe it.  Something has to be done.  This is not justice!  Why is it so difficult for people not to feel compassion for murder victims that are of a different race than them?  Why is it outrage in our system when white children are murdered by blacks, but that is not the case when black children are murdered by whites?  When black children are murdered it is justified.  I've heard some RACISTS  insinuating that Trayvon Martin caused his own death.  That it was *HIS* own fault for being outside, going to the 711, and protecting himself from some strange man following him. . .  WHAT?!  That is ridiculous!  WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I know is that something has to be done about this. We cannot accept the fact that a man who murdered an innocent child got away free and is not held accountable.  What is the USA coming to? I thought this country was going forward, but in reality, I see that we're going backwards!

For all of you who relish in the fact that Zimmerman got "not guilty" and think that your race has won, keep in mind:  This is not a black or white issue.  This is about what is right and what is wrong.  Also remember, you may have won the battle - 6 jurors voting that Zimmerman was not guilty, but you WON'T win the war - people standing together and getting something done about these laws that favor some and oppress others.

Bottom line:  George Zimmerman is GUILTY! 

Justice for Trayvon Martin!!!!
