I was blessed by my mother on Christmas with this SUPERB animated film that I haven't seen in ages. "When the Wind Blows" is a sad story of war. After watching this movie, I was heart-broken. Jim and Hilda Bloggs are the typical retired couple in rural England. They drink endless cups of tea and have an unwavering faith in the wisdom of their government. However, that is before their lives are devastated by nuclear war. This film is based on the novel by Raymond Briggs, and features original music by David Bowie.
