June, 28, 2009, Remembering a Superstar...

On June 25, 2009, the world lost one of the most influential music icons, Michael Jackson. I have been a huge fan of Michael Jackson since I was like 6 years old. I remember listening to his music along with my sister and aunts. It was always so exciting whenever he had a T.V appearance. We waited up HOURS to listen to him sing and to watch his AWESOME dance moves. We'd be screaming and jumping up and down like some kind of lunatics. Michael Jackson had an electrifying presence that just brought chills up and down my spine (and still does) and a voice like gold. When I learned of his death, I was devastated and could not stop crying. It felt as though I had lost someone very close to me. They'll never be another performer like him. NEVER!

I have never believed Michael Jackson to be a child molester or anything like that. During the trials, I knew that he was being set up and was easy bait for the greedy, who sought to take advantage of his kindness and money. Michael loved children and there's nothing about him that shows that he's a pedophile or anything of the sort.

Though he's gone, his music and videos will continue to live on in my heart. My condolences goes out to his family, and may Michael Jackson, an American hero, who overcame racial barriers and brought so many together, have a beautiful and restful journey on the other side.
RIP, Michael! I love you forever! :)

Above is a photo of Michael's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame that I took when I was in Hollywood.
